Chloe + Cole woke up with the sun for their Smoky Mountain Engagement Session. One of my favorite things about being a Licensed Smoky Mountains Photographer is getting to show visitors the absolute magic of these mountains- especially as the sun melts away the morning fog. Take a look at more of Cole and Chloe's epic engagement session in the mountains below!
Cades Cove Engagement Session Details
Cades Cove is one of my favorite locations in the Smoky Mountains for Engagement Sessions and Elopements! Cades Cove offers panoramic mountain views, sweeping rivers and streams, and wooded trails showing off the National Park's diverse ecosystem! Chloe and Cole envisioned soft and romantic engagement photos that showed off their love and captured the beauty of the Smoky Mountains! Chloe went with a stunning red velvet dress to really tie together the romantic and elegant theme for their engagement photos!
A Few Key Things To Remember When Planning For Your Cades Cove Engagement Photos In Tennessee:
Have a detailed meet-up plan in place before entering the National Park. There is no cell service in the National Park so having a solid meeting plan and even a contingency plan in place is always a good idea.
Plan extra time for traffic- Cades Cove is one of the most heavily trafficked locations in the National Park and slow-moving or even standstill traffic is to be expected. It’s important to plan ahead with more time than necessary to make it to your destination within Cades Cove.
Road closures due to inclement weather- it’s important to always check the NPS Twitter page called ‘Smokies Road Info’ for updates and have a backup location in mind.
Vehicle- Free Wednesdays are in place during the summer months in Cades Cove. This means that cars are not allowed to drive in Cades Cove Loop on Wednesdays. The loop is closed to all motor traffic for the entire day.
Hire a photographer that is a CUA holder with the National Park! As a CUA holder with the Smoky Mountains National Park, I'm a trusted vendor experienced in working in and around the Smoky Mountains and permitted to photograph at various locations throughout the National Park.
Don't forget to buy your Parking Pass from the National Park. As of March 1st 2023, the Smoky Mountains National Park has rolled out "Park it Forward", a program that now requires all vehicles that will be parked for longer than 15 minutes to have a parking pass displayed in their window.
